Poetry at Print!
Poets Christopher Locke (author of Ordinary Gods), and brothers Anders Carlson-Wee (Dynamite, Mercy Songs and Two-Headed Boy) and Kai Carlson Wee (Mercy Songs and Two-Headed Boy) come to Print for an evening of poetry.
Please join us at Print: A Bookstore for an evening of terrific poetry by Christopher Locke, Anders Carlson-Wee and Kai Carlson Wee. Christopher Locke is the non-fiction editor at Slice Magazine in Brooklyn, NY. His latest collection of poetry, Ordinary Gods, has been called “a collection of poems and stories that take us down Locke’s own heroic path toward feeling it all—and because he’s so good, we get to feel it all, too. This is an open-hearted book by a generous and talented writer.” - David Allan Cates, author of Hunger in America. Anders Carlson-Wee is the co-author of Mercy Songs and Two-Headed Boy with his brother Kai Carlson-Wee. Anders was the 2015 NEA Creative Writing Fellow and is the author of Dynamite, winner of the 2015 Frost Place Chapbook Prize. His work has appeared in numerous literary magazines and anthologies including Ploughshares, New England Review, Poetry Daily, Best New Poets, The Best American Nonrequired Reading, and Narrative Magazine. Kai Carlson-Wee is a former Wallace Stegner Fellow and has received fellowships from the MacDowell Colony, the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, the Sewanee Writers' Conference, and his work has appeared or is forthcoming in Ploughshares, Best New Poets, Gulf Coast, and The Missouri Review, which awarded him the 2013 Editor’s Prize.
