In honor of Black History Month, we are pleased to partner with Two Fat Cats Bakery to bring you three author-inspired cookies that celebrate Black authors Maya Angelou, Zora Neale Hurston, and Alice Walker. We hope the artistry of the bakers at Two Fat Cats prompts you to read and celebrate Black stories and their critical voice in the American literary canon. Below you will find a list of authors highlighted by Two Fat Cats along with other titles the Print staff recommends.
You can purchase cookies and books in person at either Two Fat Cats locations, and you know we'll have the books at Print as well! We will also be highlighting Black authors and Black historical figures throughout the month during our ACLU storytimes and in-store displays for kids and adults.
